Darling Diva - Into The Groove, Call The Doctor & Royale

***Polishes sent for review.  All opinions are my own.***

Hi!  I have a new to us indie brand to show you today, Darling Diva polishes.  This is a super fun brand with a lot of variety in their selections.  They definitely have something for everyone.  Let's start off with a crelly with some round glitter.

Into The Groove is described as:  inspired by the Madonna song of the same name. Lovely green crelly polish (this is NOT neon) filled with black and silver circles in two sizes.  I used three thin coats for these swatches and could have maybe done with 4.  While this color is not for me, I know tons of girls who love it.  And the Madonna themed polishes get me every time.

Royale is described as:  part of my RuPaul inspired collection, this is Royale. Named after Latrice "Get those nuts OUT of my FACE" Royale this gorgeous holographic blue has glints of rose.  This is such a stunning blue and I love the "glints of rose" really show up.  I used three thin coats but could have gotten away with two.

Call The Doctor is described as:   large hot pink holographic circle glitters, medium size and small sized hot pink circle glitters, light pink medium sized circle glitters, white circle glitters, black circle glitters of 2 sizes, and silver holographic microglitters in a pale pink jelly base.  I layered Call The Doctor over Sation Tira Miss-U (full review here) and I love how sweet and pretty this turned out.

Darling Diva polishes are available on Etsy.  Make sure to like their Facebook page for updates and specials!

Shimmer - Natalie

***This polish was provided to me for an honest review.  All opinions are my own.***

Hello! Today I have a cool glitter topper from Shimmer to show you. Natalie is described as: Dusty Blue, Copper and Turquoise Melange Glitter Polish! I decided to go with a nuetral base to show off the original mix of glitter so I layered it over Formula X for Sephora Brainpower (full review here). I really love how this came out. I think it's appropriate for fall and interesting!

Whoa dry hands...

Keep up with the latest additions to the Shimmer collection by following their blog, liking them on Facebook. You can purchase the polishes directly from Shimmer through their Etsy shop.

China Glaze Autumn Nights Collection

Hey everyone!  I have a few polishes from China Glaze's new collection, Autumn Nights.  I'm really happy with the three that we were sent to review.  These colors just scream fall to me and as usual, the formula was killer.  I used two coats plus top coat for all swatches below.  Let's get to it.

Red-y & Willing is a deep red shimmer that just screams my name.  This kind of color is my signature polish. I could see myself wearing this a lot this fall and winter, except for my bottle came with a wonky brush!  I'm impressed with my painting skills because it was like trying to paint my nails with a mascara wand.  Wonky brush or not, I will still wear this polish again and again.

Tongue & Chic is a blackened teal shimmer.  When I saw the press release for the collection, this was the color I was most excited about and it did not disappoint.  I love how cool and edgy it is for fall and such a wearable teal.

Charmed, I'm Sure is a deep eggplant cream.  I love this kind of color for fall and it looks great on any length nails.  This is actually unique to my collection and a great classic color for fall.

What do you think of Autumn Nights?  I love these three polishes and I have Queen B on my list to pick up next time I go to the nail store.  To see swatches of the entire collection check out Set In Lacquer's gorgeous swatches here and here.

You can purchase China Glaze polishes at Sally BeautyUlta, and other beauty supply stores. Like them on Facebook, follow them on Twitter and Instagram!

Sation "Miss-terranean" Fall Collection

Hello! I'm so excited to show you another amazing collection from Sation. As you might know by now, we are Sation crazy. It seems that every collection they've put out since re-branding has been a winner. The "Miss-teranean" fall collection is no exception! I jumped at the chance to review this collection for you all.

Here's the collection as described by Miss Professional Nail, the company behind Sation-

All aboard the luxury lacquer liner! Miss Professional Nail (Miss) has announced the release of “The Miss-terranean,” their Fall 2013 Nail Lacquer Collection. The Mediterranean-themed campaign is a transatlantic tribute to the rich, vivid color palettes of Europe’s most treasured destinations: the classic beauty of Italy’s primaries; the decadent sizzle of Spain’s signature brights, and the ever-polished appeal of the oh-my-glam Parisians. This collection celebrates the cosmopolitan world with a vicarious experience that is exciting, sophisticated and gloriously indulgent. You deserve a beautifying break, so go ahead and treat yourself (and your nails!) to a holiday on the high seas.

Miss Creative Director Staci Dao was inspired by the glamorous, adventurous vibe of these historical hotspots. She wanted to bottle the essence of their effortlessly elegant nature and colorful, carefree climate - luckily in the nail polish world, this is possible. Be sure to pack your passport, your pearls and your favorite polish! Here are the colors that are on deck for Fall 2013:

First up is Wine-y Happy People- Salute to sophistication! Raise a glass to a rich velvety vino, in an exquisite Bordeaux shade that will make a splash along the Seine. This is a gorgeous deep vampy purple that made my camera GO INSANE. I wanted to show you this picture first, just to get it out of the way. At certain settings, the color was coming out way too dark. I had to lighten things up so much that the polish looks splotchy and weird. This polish is NOT splotchy and weird! I decided to go with this photo though because they are the most color accurate. I used two coats for this swatch. The formula is a thick crelly that looked pretty squishy after one coat. I added the second coat for full opacity. I swear I took 100 pictures and this was the only one that showed the true color. I don't even have a good label shot. Maybe it's time for a new camera!

This is Don Wannabe- Be prepared for fashion followers when you reveal this glorious Grecian blue; it’s unexpected brilliance will be the talk of the villa. Oh man, I LOVE this blue! This is an Anna color if I've ever seen one. I wore it for almost a whole week. Don Wannabe had a similar formula to Wine-y Happy People, a thick crelly with two coats shown below.

Napoleon Dyna-Matte- Start a color revolution in true old-world style with this captivating crimson that your suitors will go matte for. What a gorgeous red! I only used one coat for the pictures below because I wanted you to see how pigmented and pretty this polish is. You can see a little bit of my VNL (visible nail line) in these pictures but it was barely visible at all in real life. Cleanup was a breeze (which is super rare for a red polish) and I had NO staining. The perfect cherry red!

I Need A Spumani- As delectable as the dessert, a muted pistachio will give your nails a chic foreign flavor. This dusty minty crelly was a surprise for me. I expected a thick, opaque creme so the jelly-ness definitely was surprising. I used two coats for the swatches below. I could have gone with 3 but I wanted you to see the squishiness.

Tira Miss-u- The ultimate in lacquered ladyfingers! A silky, sumptuous lavender that will have you reaching for seconds. I don't know that I'd call this lavender, I think of it more as a pastel mauve, maybe? I don't know. Now that I see it being described at lavender, I guess it is!

I saved my favorite for last. Hottie Biscotti- Sizzling yet sensual, this universally flattering neutral will be the toast of the season. It's not quite white, it's not quite nude or beige, it's just pretty and neutral. I want to attack it with all of the glitters and shimmer toppers I have. I used two easy coats for these swatches. Barely any clean up at all, this polish practically painted itself.

So what do you think? This collection definitely has me ready for fall. It's available for sale now!

Adore Polish- Blushing Bride

**The product featured in the post was provided for an honest review.**

Today I have another shade of Adore nail polish to show you. Erin and Robin previous reviewed two other polishes from the Adore Wedding Collection here and here

Blushing Bride is a bright light lilac creme. Not only is it light and bright at the same time, it's pink and purple at the same time. I think this would be a great bridesmaid shade for a wedding. Blushing bride has an amazing formula and I used two easy coats for the swatches below.

I love a good quality creme polish like this. The Adore website seems to describe all of their creme polishes as "matte" even though they dry to a high shine. I think they are using the term because the polish has no shimmer. I guess not all nail polish companies are on the same page as bloggers when it comes to polish lingo! What do you think?

Happy Tuesday! Today I have a polish that I'm super excited about to show you.  I think the press info describes this new line better than I can so here it is:

I received Brain Power to review, a creamy, nude camel shade.  I think it fits in so well with this fall's nail trends.  The formula really was perfection, 2 easy coats plus Out The Door to top it.  I think it will be one of my go to neutrals for fall.  I can see it matching perfectly with my new Frye boots!

What do you think of this color?  I really love it.  I also need a reality check when it comes to moisturizing my cuticles apparently.

FORMULA X will be available beginning October 2013 at Sephora stores, by calling 1-877-SEPHORA or by logging on to via computer or smartphone.

Priti NYC- Lady of the Dawn

**The product featured in this post was provided for an honest review**

Today I have another beautiful shade to show you from Priti NYC. Lady of the Dawn was designed for Stella McCartney for Fashion Week 2013! This is a super pale pink with the tiniest pearly shimmer added to it. The formula was thin but flowed easily on the nail. I used three coats for the swatches below. You can still see plenty of VNL (visible nail line) but I think this neutral could work well for a wedding or a professional office.

What do you think? Do you like these kinds of sheer pale pinks?

Disney Reigning Beauties Ariel Collection by Sephora

**The products featured in this post were provided for an honest review**

I'm so excited to be showing you guys some awesome products from the Disney Reigning Beauties Collection by Sephora. As soon as I heard about this collection, I jumped at the opportunity to review some of the products! You see, The Little Mermaid was one of my favorite movies growing up. I've always been a fan of Howard Ashman's music (it runs in the family), and I still remember the puffy plastic VHS case my Little Mermaid tape came in.

This collection consists of five pieces, the Storylook Eyeshadow Palette Ariel Edition ($55), the Part of Your World Eyeshadow Palette ($30), the Mermaid Song Lipgloss Set ($38), the Kiss the Girl Eau de Parfum ($19-$58), and the Set the Mood Compact Mirror ($20). I've got three of the pieces to show you today. The packaging on these products is AMAZING. I seriously can't get over it. Everything is just so pretty. I took a lot of pictures. Let's get started!

Kiss the Girl Eau de Parfum- Feel the passion of the moment with Kiss the Girl Eau de Parfum, an invigorating new fragrance inspired by the magical moment of true love’s first kiss. Available in a Eau de Parfum Spray, 50 mL ($58), and a Roll On Eau de Parfum ($19), this captivating scent opens with a refreshing burst of bergamot, wet cucumber, and ozonic accord that is brought to life with a splash of water notes, wild lilac and starfruit, all fused together with warm sandalwood and sensual velvet sensations of ambergris to make the moment last forever.

I love the roll on perfume because it's compact, easy to throw in a purse, and it SMELLS SO GOOD. I'm really not a perfume girl. I rarely wear it at all. I just can't help myself with this one. I grab it all the time to put on. Even my fiance, who sneezes around most perfumes, loves this on me. It's light and sweet and it just smells pretty.

I'm sorry to say that this next product is no longer readily available. It's sold out on the website and hard to find in stores. But that's because it's SO PRETTY! If you can get your hands on this compact mirror, you need it in your life!

Set the Mood Compact Mirror ($20)Bat your eyes and pucker your lips with this beautifully designed deep sea treasure.
The details on this compact are so pretty. I also love the scene depicted on the top. Kiss The Girl is my favorite Little Mermaid song and this compact just looks like something a princess would have.

Every time I see this I picture Sebastian's voice

Part of Your World Eyeshadow Palette ($30)Open your eyes to endless possibilities with this captivating palette of four vibrant shades, including What’s-It (matte clay grey) and three glittery shades, Who’s-It (glittering white), Dinglehopper (iridescent light teal), and Snarfblat (violet with iridescent glitter). Easy to apply and blend for a variety of mesmerizing eye looks that will shimmer like the sea.

I was really excited to try this palette because I'm using it for my first makeup look for the blog! I think these four colors make for an unexpected combination but they really do work well together, with What's It being the odd-ball. They aren't super pigmented but easy to layer to build up color.

Who's It- glittering white
The smaller shimmer particles in Who's It make this shadow minimally powdery with not too much fallout. It works great as a highlighter.
What's It- matte clay grey
What's It is the only matte shadow in this palette and it turned out to be a pretty close match to my skin tone. I would probably use it more with other neutral shades than with this palette.
Dinglehopper- iridescent light teal
Dinglehopper was the sheerest color in the palette. One swipe barely showed any teal but did provide a pretty iridescent shimmer. This is definitely a buildable color.
Snarfblat- violet with iridescent glitter
I expected Snarfblat to be as sheer as Dinglehopper but I was pleasantly surprised to be wrong. The larger glitter particles did cause more fallout but the color payoff was worth it. This is also a buildable color, but way more pigmented than Dinglehopper.

I swatched each eye shadow on my forearm over my Too Faced Shadow Insurance primer. I found that  I got the best color pay-off when using these shadows over a primer.

Ok here it is, my eye! I used all 4 shadows to create this look and finished it off with my Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner and Benefit They're Real! Mascara. Do you know how hard it is to take pictures of your eye? Especially when your eyes are closed.

So what do you think? Do you love this collection as much as I do?
