Aphrodite Lacquers Capulets

I'm pleased to present another polish from Aphrodite Lacquers Romes and Jules Collection. Erin has already reviewed Such Sweet SorrowTwo Star Crossed Lovers and Violent Delights and Anna will be reviewing some more, too. We love Aphrodite (get it?) and particularly Rebecca's new collection. Such a great theme!
Aphrodite Lacquers Capulets
Capulets is a milky white jelly base loaded with colorful glitters in all sizes and shapes. Since the nail on my ring finger got terribly stained because I didn't use a base coat on my St. Patrick's Day leprechaun, I decided to try layering Capulets over two coats of Essie Lapis Of Luxury because it seemed like it would go well with the glitters. I almost like it better than on its own! I can see it working just as well over a pink or minty green, too.

I really like how the base pretty much covered in two coats, although I added a third for more glitter. The jelly base makes them float and it's such a great effect. Love it!

Pros: love the semi-opaque jelly base — it makes it look like candy!

Cons: the glitters stuck to the edge of the bottle, but after stirring it with a toothpick I was able to get them on the brush. I did have to dab the polish on for better glitter placement, though.

Overall: another charming collection from Rebecca at Aphrodite!

Aphrodite Lacquers can be purchased on Etsy for USD$8 for a full size bottle. Check their Facebook page for details and restocking updates.
