Yesterday Erin showed off her swatches of Priti NYC Guinea Rose from the Apres Ski collection for Spring 2013 and today I have two more polishes from the same collection plus one more.
Here is Silver Torch, a beige creme with a silver shimmer. I really love this polish. The formula went on like butter. I found that three thin coats worked best for even coverage but you could definitely get away with two careful coats.
I tried a different angle so you can see that extra shimmer
No hidden shimmer here!
Here are three thin coats of Envy, a yellow lime green crelly (creme+jelly) that's a great shade for Spring. Unfortunately, I didn't have the same formula love with Envy as I did with Silver Torch. Even with a ridge filling base coat (Zoya for this swatch) and three coats of polish, there was no leveling going on and the natural ridges on my nails are still very obvious.
Here is Truly Yours Carnation from Priti's Bridal Bouquet collection. I'm always on the hunt for potential wedding day mani contenders so I was happy to have the chance to try this one from Priti. TYC is a soft pinkish white jelly. Unfortunately, I had the same problems with TYC that I did with Envy. I used a ridge filling base coat (OPI this time) and I still have very obvious ridges. I used four thin coats for the swatches below.
I do like this color a lot. I think for the right bride, this soft rosy white would be perfect.
Pros- I love the square bottles and metal tops. Priti uses a nice fat/not too fat brush that makes application easy. Their color selection is also pretty awesome. Silver Torch was a total win too.
Cons- The obvious ridge-showing that I got from Envy and Truly Yours Carnation made these two not work for me.
Overall- I know Priti has some amazing creme and shimmer polishes (duh, Silver Torch and Guinea Rose) but I'm not a fan of the jellies I'm seeing.
Priti NYC polish retails for $13.50 a bottle and can be purchased directly from their website. Keep up with the latest collections and sales by liking Priti NYC on Facebook or following them on Twitter.
