365 Days of Color - Sunny's Whipped Hand Cream

I have become quite the hand cream addict since I started blogging.  I used to randomly grab whatever lotion was around when I felt like my hands were dry but I've gotten picky.  Really picky.  When I heard 365 Days of Color was coming out with a whipped hand cream, I knew I had to try it.  I have the cuticle oil with the rollerball applicator and I am obsessed.

Sunny the creator of 365 Days of Color describes the whipped hand cream as:  Sunny's Hand Cream is made up of natural ingredients such as shea butter, coconut oil, and vitamin E oil; all of which are essential to curing dry hands!  I personally use this all day but for best results, wear at night before bed time :)  This cream has a slight gold shimmer to it!!

I'm going to be honest, when I got this hand cream...I didn't like it and I wasn't sure why.  I live in Maryland and it's cold here.  The package was on my doorstep when I got home from work and I ripped it open and used it immediately.  The texture was not whipped!  It was hard.  And I immediately thought, "damn it.  I love Sunny.  I love her products and I don't like this.  What am I going to do?"  So I left it alone for a couple days and then decided to give it another go.  This time the texture was whipped.  Um, what?  Then I remembered...it was really cold that day and the hand cream sat outside all day.  It was basically frozen when I opened it!  Mystery solved.  This time it was soft and fluffy and applied like a dream.  It does sort of emulsify down to a greasy/oily lotion and then magically soaks in and leaves no grease (I have no idea how she did this but she should patent it) and then your hands are perfectly soft and left with this gorgeous golden shimmer.  Which sounds weird, but it works.  It's very slight.  At first I thought this was going to be my nightly hand cream but nope.  It's going on my desk at work.  Which means I will use it at least 4 times a day.  I'm going to need back ups!

Oh and one more thing.  It comes in a million different scents.  But I am a freak and hate scented anything.  So Sunny made mine unscented!

Full disclosure:  my kid scratched the label all up.  So here's the unscratched part.

Moisturized hands.  And old looking hands.  Can you guess how old I am?  I've give you a clue.  Not 85 like my hands look.

The tiniest bit of golden shimmer

This is how big the 2 oz. size is.  Big.
Sunny's Hand Cream can be purchased here for $4 for 2 oz. (shown) and $8 for 4 oz.  Make sure you like 365 Days of Color on Facebook and follow her blog for updates, previews and specials!

  1. awesome I've been waiting for reviews of the product. I'm a fan of everything else she makes but I'm picky about lotions. I hate greasy hands lol. also my hands look like that & I'm only 22, born & raised in PA so I'm guessing your in your early 20s lol

    1. Ha! Thank you! I'm 32. I really love this lotion. It is greasy at first and takes about a minute to soak in completely but when it does, it's seriously perfect. Enjoy!

  2. have you ever tried Glysomed's hand cream? I love it. I brought a tub of it into work and all of my fellow alligator skinned nurses became huge fans of it too. It smells delightful too, floral, like lilacs.

    1. I have to check that out! I'm such a hand cream junkie lately.
