Nirvana is one of those colors that always seems to be on everyone's "must have" list and when I saw it at one of the 99¢ sale at my local Walgreens, I grabbed it. Now that I've finally tried it, I can see why it's so popular! The color is a not brown, not gray, not quite melted milk chocolate but totally awesome warm neutral. I love it! Rumor has it that Nirvana is a dupe for Chanel Particuliere, and based on the photos I've seen online I'd say it comes really close. Close enough for me, anyway!
The formula was a buttery smooth application and I really like the unusual brown/gray/taupe/mushroom quality of the color. Recently I was passing some time in another town and saw a Walgreens, so I decided to stop in and see if they had any SinfulColors that I hadn't seen and jackpot! I found Nirvana Matte — which is not actually a matte finish, so I don't know where they were going with that name. When Anna commented in one of the replies on Sprog that butter LONDON's Tee Total was a dupe for China Glaze Foie Gras from their Hunger Games collection, I decided to compare all three since I had decided that Nirvana was also a dupe for Tee Total.
Hm-m-m-m-m-m. Difficult to choose...
"Matte" Nirvana was a paler version of regular Nirvana, even though they looked nearly identical in the bottle. Foie Gras was darker and leaned a bit more purple than either of the Nirvanas. I can't decide; I love them all. I guess I'll have to get Tee Total to see if any of them really are dupes!
