Sation Men-ipulation

Sation describes Men-ipulation as "a clear-based duo of black and white hexes with a manipulative marble effect" but my bottle was made up of pearly white hexes and black shreds, so I'm not sure what to say about that other than that I'm glad it had the black shreds — I think they're more interesting! One of the hardest things I find with glitters is deciding what color to layer them over (the other is placing the glitters, which you can see that I suck at — I don't have the patience to place everything ever so carefully and I just slather it on.)  I immediately thought of that old riddle about "what's black and white and red (read) all over" and knew I had to try it over something red. The very best red I have right now it Zoya Rekha, so I put on a couple of coats of that and then a coat of Men-ipulation. I love this combination! The bright red really makes the white hexes and black shreds pop.

I mean, really. How fun is this combination!?! But then I also got to thinking about how nice it would look as a monochrome, so I tried it over a gray (oh, gosh, which gray to choose?) I decided to go with SinfulColors Jungle Trail because it was a medium-pale neutral gray.

Almost work appropriate! Almost.
I love this just as much! I think this particular glitter might just look good over any color you choose to layer it over, it's that adaptable, and I say this as a person who's not all that fond of glitters. This one is a must-have.

Pros: The combination of black and white, hexes and shreds, make this an all-around winner.

Cons: I had trouble getting the black shreds to place where I wanted them, but I admit that I'm not good at that sort of thing so I can't really blame the polish.

Overall: I really love the way this glitter goes with anything. I think it really makes brighter colors look even more special and I want to try it over a bright yellow or orange, too.

To keep up with the new Sation collections online you can Like them on Facebook, follow them on Twitter, or purchase directly from their website or Transdesign. They are also now available at some Marshall's, TJ Maxx, or Winners (Canada.)
