OPI Skyfall

This was the only color I got from the James Bond collection when it came out in October and I could have sworn I'd reviewed it here because I've worn it a few times already, but apparently not. Since it's my Thanksgiving mani, I'll take care of that oversight right now! (And I believe Erin is wearing it, too, so it certainly has The Cousins Seal of Approval.) I wish there was a matching lipstick!

Skyfall is a perfect cinnabar red, brighter than the other oxblood colors that are so popular, yet still rich and vampy. I get comments every time I wear it and it's one of those colors that looks good even on short nails, so don't feel you need a lot of length to carry it off (unless you want to try that mani from the movie, with GoldenEye on the underside of the nail.)
OPI Skyfall, from their James Bond collection.
Here we see that my fingers are way too short to carry off Sarah's elegant pose on Chalkboard Nails.
The formula was what I've come to expect from OPI cremes, needing only two coats to opacity and flowing well across the nail. No staining problems and easy cuticle cleanup, too. I did try a different base coat and top coat this time that I was not too pleased with but I'm going to give them another chance before reporting on them — I want to be sure it wasn't something on my end before giving them a thumbs down.
Label shot for the numbers fans.
This is a great Fall color, elegant and sophisticated, and it's sure to get a lot of oooooo's and aaaaaaah's from the little girls in the family who like to check out my nails at family gatherings. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
