Not Too Polished Harvest Goddess Collection - Part 1

Hello everyone!  Today I have Part 1 of Not Too Polished's Limited Edition Harvest Goddess Collection.  NTP holds a special place in my heart because it was one of the first indie brands that we reviewed and I'm honored to swatch her latest collection.  And I'm also super stoked that an indie put out a six piece collection with no glitter!!

First, let me discuss the formula.  The formula was flawless.  For real.  Highly pigmented, two coats to perfection with almost a rainbow shimmer up close.  Each swatch has one coat of China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat, 2 coats of polish and one coat of Out the Door Top Coat.   NTP describes the collection as "based on all of the beautiful colors of nature in autumn."  Agreed.  These color scream fall to me.  On to the swatches!

Gourd is described as:  a bright, pumpkin orange shimmer nail polish, perfect for any fall occasion.  I really loved this shimmery, fall take on the ever popular orange polish that we saw all summer.

Dusk is described as:  a deep plum shimmer polish with slight gold and blueish overtones. It is a gorgeous representation of the sky just after sunset.  I'm not usually the biggest purple fan but I really liked this classy, understated purple.  Dusk is a perfect name for it.

Maple is described as:  a deep, velvety red shimmer polish, inspired by the brightest of leaves in the fall.  Maple was my problem child of the collection.  I couldn't get it to stop bubbling.  I'm not sure if it was my bottle or my base coat because every other color had a spot on formula.  I really enjoyed this deep shimmery red though.  I'll give it another shot with a better base and see how it does.

Pros:  Love the cohesion of this collection and the names match the polishes perfectly.  With the exception of Maple, the formula is perfection.
Cons:  Bubbling Maple
Overall:  I'm super impressed by this fall collection.  Make sure you come back tomorrow for Part 2!

Not Too Polished is available on Etsy for $7.50 for a full set.  The entire Limited Edition Harvest Goddess Collection is available for $38.00.  Go check out her Etsy shop and like the Facebook page for updates!  She has a bunch of great collections.
