Blue Monday: Revlon Dreamy

I picked this up some time ago after I'd read that Dreamy was a dupe for a Chanel polish — Riva, maybe? But Riva has shimmers and Dreamy does not, so it must have been another one. In any case, it was a lovely powder blue and it was marked down, so I got it and finally just got around to trying it out. Ugh. Don't get me wrong — it's a beautiful color, but the formula was one of the worst I've ever used. The consistency was like coffee cream, so thin and watery that it flooded my cuticles like the Nile. In order to get it to stay on my nails I had to apply it with a nearly dry brush, which made it streak like mad and required three to four coats to cover. Way too much effort and bother for a color that's merely nice, but not remarkable.
The bubbles in the bottle indicate just how watery this polish is.
I don't know what it is, but I've been having a lot of problems with the Revlon polishes I've tried lately. I don't know if it's just a run of bad bottles or if they've changed their formulas or what, but I've been disappointed so often that I think I'm going to avoid them for a while (or at least until I've finished swatching all the ones in my untried bag.)

How about you? Have you ever found a polish brand that previously had been a favorite suddenly give you a string of losers?
