LynBDesigns - Alistair Swatch and Review

Hi!  Today I have an awesome indie polish for you, LynBDesigns Alistair.  Here's some back story about why I picked this polish to review:  I've been on the hunt for a great red glitter ever since I had a sad encounter with my #1 red glitter stalkee, Lynnderella Ruby Red Ruby.  I swapped one of my Lynns for it and  after the mailman delivered it...someone stole it off my doorstep.  I have no other Lynns that I'm willing to swap again to get another one so I just keep trying to find that red glitter polish to quench my red glitter thirst!  Alistair is not a dupe in any way for Ruby Red Ruby but I loved the mix of red micro glitter and black, red and white diamonds (how cool are they?) in a clear base.

I am in love with Lyn's bottles.  The long rubberized cap is perfect for controlling the polish and it's just an elegant, original bottle.  The application on this polish was great.  It was packed with glitter but not in an obnoxious way.  I didn't have to dig at all for diamonds and there was no curling or bleeding of any kind.  It dried quick and smooth and one thick coat of Out The Door and I was good to go.  I choose to layer it over China Glaze Manhunt and I loved this look.

Love the cute label

See how long the cap is??

Pros:  Great bottle design, really nice glitter to base ratio
Cons:  My only con is that I wish she didn't hand write her polish name on her label.  The labels and bottles are so professional that I think it would look nicer for the name to be printed.
Overall:  LynBDesigns is an indie to watch.  This polish is gorgeous!

LynBDesigns retail for $8.50, full size only and are available on Etsy.  She is currently running a buy 2, get 1 free promo.  Her Etsy shop is absolutely packed with polish.  It took me so long to decide on just one!  Like her on Facebook for updates!

  1. I have a few Lyn B's too, and they are great! As far as the red glitter polish, have you seen Courrone Dor Vernis' Rubis?I have tried any polishes from them yet, but Rubis seems pretty close to Ruby Red Ruby.

    1. Just looked! You are totally right. Adding it to my wish list as we speak! The Swatchaholic did a post with RRR over a deep purple polish. I have Milani Deep Thoughts waiting for the perfect red glitter. This could be it.
