Zoya Gloss Collection

Happy Sunday everyone! I'm really excited to show you guys the Zoya Gloss collection scheduled to come out this Fall. While I'm not entirely ready for darker colors, Fall collections are always my favorites. Something about dark, bold colors get me every time. The collection includes three jelly polishes- Katherine, Frida, and Paloma. You guys know how much I love me some jellies! So squishy and so SHINY! Jellies are sheer and buildable so those of you who can't stand VNL (visible nail line) might want to try them with a more opaque base.

Now, here's a cute picture of my cat, Mo, to start us off.

He's a good helper
For each color, I swatched with a different number of coats on each nail so you can see how the colors build. Pointer finger has 1 coat, middle has 2, ring has 3 and pinky has 4.

Katherine- a sheer eggplant jelly gloss. Katherine is definitely my favorite in the collection. It just looks like red wine on my nails and that's never a bad thing.

Four coats

I think Katherine looked best after 4 thin coats but if you tend to use thicker coats, you could probably achieve this level of opacity with 3 coats.

Frida- A sheer teal blue jelly gloss. This is my kind of teal. The squishiness almost makes it look like the ocean.

Four coats
Much like Katherine, I think Frida looks best after 4 thin coats. SO SHINY!

Paloma- A berry red jelly gloss. I'd definitely describe this as more of a berry and less of a red. Paloma is more pigmented than her sisters above and had full jelly coverage in 3 thin coats.

The fourth coat on my pinky was obviously not needed
3 coats

Pros- Jellies in gem tones! Great application and super shiny. I didn't use a top coat for any of the photos in this post.
Cons- I'm not into having to use 4 coats of polish for a manicure. I know this comes down to application technique but I always try to use thin coats because I feel like it gives me better control since thick coats can end up looking goopy.
Overall- Zoya is killing it with the jelly collections they've been coming out with. If you love jellies, this is a must for Fall.

The Gloss Collection is now available through Zoya's website for $8 a piece.
