Zoya - Fall 2012 Designer Collection

Hi!  Today I have the Zoya Designer Collection for fall for you.  This is the creme collection that pairs up the Zoya Divas Collection for fall.  Let's just start out by saying that every color in this collections is an "Erin Color."  I love them all.  I used one coat of Seche Clear base coat, 2 coats of polish and one coat of Out The Door on all swatches.  This post is a mega swatchfest so let's get to it.

First up, Rekha:  Bold medium blood red with a glossy cream finish. A custom runway shade created for fashion designer Bibhu Mohapatra.  Look, let's just tell it like it is, red polish looks damn good on me.  I love this color.  It applied so nicely that I actually did no cleanup around my cuticles.

Toni:   Dark, warm raisin-wine cream with strong purple tones. A fashionable muted purple for a classic vampy nail look.  This color screams fall to me.  I want to put on a chunky sweater, skinny jeans, knee high brown boots and few big bangles and go sit by a fire with some wine.

Monica:   Dark, soft blue-toned purple with a glossy cream finish. A bit of vibrant couture color, darkened for a bold, dramatic nail look.  This is my least favorite of the collection simply because I'm not a purple girl.  But I like how it's a dusty purple with no shimmer.  We saw so many dusty purple with shimmer last spring and Monica is their sophiscated cousin.  Like a cousin that came from London and she has a cool accent.

Natty:  Smoky deep steel blue with an opaque cream finish. A standout smoky blue for an unexpected but very wearable runway look.  This was a surprise favorite for me.  I just love the gray-ed out navy blue.  Even though it's July and not seasonally appropriate, I wore it for a weekend getaway with my husband because I just can't wait until September to wear this color!

Evvie:  Dark smoky grey cream with strong teal green undertones. A custom-mixed runway shade created for designer Peter Som.  This color has gotten the most hype and I know why.  It's a gorgeous dusty teal-gray and I have nothing like it in my collection.  Another polish that I can see myself wearing as my go to fall nuetral.

Noot:  Very dark grey cream with strong blue-green undertones. Smoky, smoldering dark grey nails with a twist from the addition of green tones.  Noot is Evvie's darker, mysterious cousin.  Evvie gets all the blogger glory but I actually like Noot better.  It's so dark that you can't really tell if it's dark gray, or green or almost black.  I love dark color on short nails; I can see myself reaching for this often.

Pros:  As always, Zoyas have a dead on formula.  They all applied evenly and smoothly with no bald spots, patching or pulling.  These are some of the shiniest polishes I've ever seen.  My camera really freaked out because of the shine!

Cons:  Evvie and Noot are so close color-wise that I'm surprised they are in the same collection.

Overall:  I really believe Zoya knocked this collection out of the park!  I love the muted cool tones and the wearable dark nuetrals.  It's a sophiscated and classy collection.
