Blue Monday - Essie Midnight Cami and Hungry Asian Sneeze Breeze

Happy Blue Monday!  Today I have a mix of blue polishes to show you.  I just got the Hungry Asian Sneeze Breeze and wanted to give it a whirl.  I going to say something controversial here...matte glitter is not my thing.  It's ugly.  And weird (don't get me started on things that look like mold spores).  And hard to remove.  But I still wanted to try it.  That being said, this is will be my last dance with matte glitter.

I figured I could handle one accent nail of Sneeze Breeze and use one of my untrieds, Essie Midnight Cami at the same time.  I bought a cheap bottle of Famous Tennessee Tango at the wholesale beauty supply store with the intention of using it for stamping.  But, the polish matched the blue glitter in Sneeze Breeze perfectly and I knew I only wanted to do one coat of (nightmare to remove) glitter so I used it for the underpants.

Maybe I had a few cleanup issues with this mani??

Where is that damn shimmer??

Blurred nails for the bottle shot

Overall, I really feel sort of meh about this mani.  I didn't love Sneeze Breeze enough, Midnight Cami chipped and flaked off in my sleep (wtf???) and the pretty shimmer in the bottle is completely lost on the nail.  This post was more like Sad Blue Monday but not every mani is a win, right?  Have you had any fail manis lately?

  1. It's a shame you're not loving Sneeze Breeze. I think it's such a pretty polish! I don't have it, but I'm digging your pictures of it. It's a shame about the Essie. I'll be staying away from that color. :o( Hope your next Blue Monday turns out brighter! <3

  2. I love glitter, all of it! Too bad it's always hard to get off. I really need to get some matte glitters to even out my collection.

  4. What is it with Essie and the promised-but-not-delivered shimmer in the bottles? So disappointing...

    1. I can honestly say other than the Luxeffects all my Essies are cremes. I haven't even been drawn to one with shimmer. I just now realized that.

  5. I've got Sneeze Breeze and is next in line to try, tip noted re using a base colour for it.

    1. Definitely. It's saturated enough that one coat is perfect over a base. Good luck! Post a pic on our Facebook, I would love to see your nails.
