Wednesday Zoya Wednesday!

Because I am just that creative, for this Wednesday's post I am reviewing Zoya Wednesday. Along with Arizona from a few days ago, this is part of their Beach Collection Summer 2012. And also like Arizona, it is really bright! I am blinded by the brightness! Maybe I should go outdoors more often...
Indoors under color-correcting light. Meh.
This is another color where I absolutely love it outdoors, but not so much indoors. (Duh, it's the Beach Collection, not the Cubicle Collection — maybe that means something.) Maybe I'm just too pasty-white after the long New England winter. In any case, I do like that I'm pushing myself to try colors that I'd normally shy away from, thanks to Anna and Erin, and there are bound to be wins and misses. Arizona is a definite miss, but I think Wednesday may be a win. I will try it again mid-summer when my eyes have grown accustomed once again to colors after months of dull winter grays. At the very least it will be perfect for pedicures!
Here's an iPhone shot out in the rain — love this now!
The application was great, although I did notice visible nail line with only two coats. I suppose I could have put on a third coat but I didn't actually see it until the photos so I guess it's not really such a big deal. It leveled beautifully and looks so amazing that I can't believe it's on my fingers, although I think I may layer one of the Flake Effects over it in another day or so once I get bored with it. (Or not, since Chloe would be too close to the As Gold As It Gets over Now You Sea Me and Opal and Maisie  look the same and blend in too well.)
Bottle shot.
Overall, I think it's so close to L'Oreal Now You Sea Me and it suffers by comparison because that was just so perfect a blue-green on me, but the longer I wear it, the better I like it. I can't wait to try the other Zoyas I got recently!

  6. Nice color! Reminds me of Bevin, which I love. This might be a little bit brighter. Looks great on you!

    1. This is actually quite a bit brighter and bluer than Bevin. Bevin is a virtual dupe for OPI Thanks A Windmillion, a paler, grayer green. I already had that so I went for Wednesday because it was at least a LITTLE bit different from all the other blue-greens I have!
