For Memorial Day weekend I thought I might try a camouflage design using khaki and olive drab but my nail bed is so short it would only look messy. Instead I decided to just do a solid olive drab, China Glaze Westside Warrior, maybe with an accent nail of the Lt. Col insignia to honor my father, who was a Lt. Col in the Army. When I dug out his pins, though, I realized that I would never be able to draw them in any recognizable form, so here they are in the palm of my hand instead. And a heartfelt thanks to all of our military personnel out there who are serving our country!
China Glaze Westside Warrior with my dad's Army Lt. Col* pins.
Westside Warrior is a rich, dark olive color from the Metro collection that China Glaze released last fall and the entire collection is on sale this weekend at Sally Beauty Supply if you missed out on any of the colors (and by that I mean you can buy the entire collection, including the display.)
*Okay, so they're his Major pins. He retired as a Lt. Col but I can't find those pins, plus the gold color goes better with the green.
