Fancy Friday- Chanel Quartz

I wanted to start a sort of weekly installment thing over here at Polished Cousins so I thought back to my preschool teacher days and remembered Fancy Friday. You see, we were studying the letter F. We wore fancy clothes and hats and had a fashion show! We made french toast and learned a few words in French! So fancy!

Fancy in the nail polish world is really just the expensive lacquer we all own (or wish we owned!). I figured we could make anything $10+ a contender for Fancy Friday. So for our first installment, I give you...

Chanel- Quartz

By far the fanciest polish I own

My good friend who lives in my building went away for the weekend and asked me to take care of her cats while she was gone. She thanked me by giving me a bottle of polish! Chanel polish! Seriously, I must be the best cat watcher ever. She's definitely the best gift giver.

Did you know Chanel polish comes in a fancy box? I didn't until I owned one.

This large top pulls off to reveal a smaller grippier top.

By the window- 2 coats

This shade is really tough to describe. Chanel calls it a "silvery beige" and I think that sounds about right.

Light box- 3 coats

Quartz also has this awesome pink and blue shimmer hidden in it. It was very hard to capture on film so here are my best attempts under different lights. Click to zoom in!

The formula was a dream. It showed a few brush strokes after two coats so I added a third to smooth everything out. Dry time was quick too!
