a England Lady of the Lake

After all the buzz about a England polishes, I knew I had to get at least one. Knowing my penchant for blues, my first choice was Tristam, but so, apparently, was it everyone else's because it is out of stock everywhere I looked. Sad face...   However, I like purples nearly as much and Lady of the Lake was in stock at Ninja Polish so I put in my order and waited. It was so worth the wait! Picture heavy post.
In direct sunlight you can see all of the multicolored sparkles.
I'd never seen a formula like this one before; the first coat was so thin I was certain that it would take at least three or four coats for opacity, but surprisingly it only took two. I suppose I could have added a third coat if I wanted but I don't think it would have added anything more (and it would have used up the bottle faster!)

It's loaded with tiny holographic shimmers that show up best in strong lighting, but in shadow they appear to be silver specks. I haven't yet tried it layered over a black or navy polish, but I certainly plan to try both.

Bottle shot in shade, where the colors are muted.
Bottle front in sunlight. Look at those sparkles!
Bottle label in shade — no holos, but still so pretty!
While not exactly the same as my recent dusty find, the OPI DS Glamour, this is petty close, being more purple than blue. I do have Tristam on email alert for when they restock, so I may yet get another gorgeous blue holo if I can get that order in on time. This is one popular polish!
