butter LONDON- Disco Biscuit

This polish has been on my wish list since it was released! It's a bright pink jelly loaded with little blue microglitter. butter LONDON retails for $14 so it took me awhile to bite the bullet on this one. Ulta sells bL but my Ulta won't accept coupons for this brand. I've learned that some Ulta's do accept coupons so it's worth a shot!
I decided to pick it up as a birthday treat for myself. I even paid retail for it. I hate paying retail.

Unfortunately, I had some issues with the formula. It's SUPER thick and goopy but still very sheer. I used three coats for the pictures above. Look at the usage line on the top bottle picture. That's from ONE mani! And I was very surprised to find out that it dries gritty. This microglitter sure is hungry! I ended up using a coat of Gelous and Seche Vite on top and it still wasn't glassy smooth like I'm used to.

But at the same time, it's a bright pink jelly with blue microglitter! It's gorgeous and I love it. I ended up putting it on my toes a few days after doing the mani. Great for summer!

  1. This is super pretty! It almost makes me want this to be my first butter LONDON, but I think I still have my heart set on Jaffa or Slapper.

    1. I'd order it online at full price if I knew it came with a box of Jaffa cakes! haha

  3. I had the same issues with the formula and finish on this guy- not quite what I expected from my first butter London polish. It also stains pretty bad and is terrible to take off.Any recommendations for nice-formula BL's to remove some of my sticker shock?

    1. Hmm I didn't have any troubles with staining. I used either Essie or OPI ridge filler base coat (I switch around). I definitely recommend using the foil method to remove this one though. So much glitter is hidden in there!

Besides this one, I have British Racing Green, Queen Vic and The Black Knight. BRG and Queen Vic are AMAZING and smooth and creamy. The Black Knight is not nearly as shiny on the nail as it is in the bottle.
