Revlon "Naughty"

Revlon Naughty
First off, I'd like to thank Claudia at ILikeToTalkALot for her video tutorials on how to clean up a manicure. I used Method #2 – Acetone and a Brush and this is probably the most professional-looking manicure I've done so far. Thanks, Claudia!

Apparently, a couple of years ago Chanel came out with a polish called Paradoxal and it was a huge hit; so much so that other brands were coming out with dupes as soon as they could. Revlon came out with one of the best, Purplex. This became so popular that Revlon re-released it as Naughty, which is where I spotted it recently at Ulta. (Don't ask me why they changed the name rather than just adding Purplex to their permanent line...) I was taken with the complexity of the color — it has subtle pink and gold shimmers in a deep lavender shade under what looks like a grayish haze. I don't have the photographic skills to capture the subtleties of this polish, but maybe this close-up will help:
Can you see the pink & gold shimmers?
Application was easy, as I've come to expect from Revlon polishes, and the color flowed smoothly without obvious brush strokes. A topcoat of Seche Vite emphasized the shimmers nicely. I wore it for two days before noticing any tip wear and that's pretty good for me as I'm on a computer about 18 hours a day. I added a layer of Finger Paints Special Effects in Asylum before removing it and it looked great for another couple of days, so look for that in a later review.

This one is definitely another keeper. (As if I don't already have plenty of those!)

    1. Thanks, Kas! Get it while it's still in the stores — who knows if it will vanish the way Purplex did! It's really lovely and I got a lot of compliments on it.
