Girly-Girl Challenge Day 1 - Think Pink

I was reading my morning blogroll yesterday and saw that Emily over at The Lacquerologist was participating in a "girly-girl" challenge from the Neverland Nail Blog.  So I checked it out and I wanted in immediately  It's right up my alley.  Only 2 manicures a week and no crazy nail art that I'm not good at (yet).

So Anna, Robin and I will be splitting up the challenges and I took the first one, "Think Pink."  If you follow us, you know that Anna and I went a little haul crazy on Monday.  I may have purchased 31 bottles of polish.  I needed to use as many of those 31 bottles as I could, at one time, in one manicure, obviously.   Why not do a pink ombre?

I think this is so cool

I love this mani.  I've wanted to do a pink ombre for a while and I'm really happy with the way it came out.  I actually love each polish on it's own so much that the manicure almost bothered me because I wanted full nails of each one so bad.

Pinky: Essie Sure Shot
Ring:  Color Club Ultraviolet
Middle:  Essie Tour de Finance
Pointer:  OPI Pedal Faster Suzi!
Thumb:  OPI Bubble Bath (This is not a haul polish.  Anna gave it to me on Monday so it counts as "new.")

Gimme that Bling is up next and I have ideas....

Check out the other blogs participating in the challenge.  I'm super excited to see all the pink manis!

  1. I love ombres! I want to do a blue one!

    1. I did one with Essie cool tones. Merino Cool, Chinchilly, Bobbing for Baubles, Sew Psyched and Licorice. I loved it!

  2. I love your ombre. The colour transitions in yours are better than mine. :)

Plus, I like that you went light to dark (t-p) which is rare but awesome!

    1. Thanks Amanda! You had that sick leopard print though...

  3. Another mani on my "To DO" list, love the look! Great job!
